This resurrection of "Jesus" is truly something to behold. While "Living In America" grabbed all the headlines when we released it as Dom's debut single last summer, "Jesus" shined on the AA-side as its earnest but oh so endearing younger cousin, so we're glad it finally gets its moment in the sun on this tropical remix from Philadelphia newcomers Vacationer. The aptly-titled Vacationer - whose debut single "Trip" we've had on lock on the NGHQ summer stereo this year - sacrifice the sinfully rad guitar riff of the original for a rework that unravels like a blissful cocoon into an all-out chillrave flight of fancy. It's rare for a song (let alone a remix) to induce such a glorious euphoric afterglow, but Dom's laced-out childlike whimsy plays with a wonderful innocence on Vacationer's tropical jungle gym of swinging samples, plucks-and-keys, and steel drums, delightfully toeing the line between alternate realities and found footing. Your vacation has arrived.

We know next to nothing about Black Light Dinner Party, other than that they hail from Boston and are coming correct with more of the fresh electronic pop sounds we've come to expect from the Northeast in recent years thanks to bands like Passion Pit and Dom. You can hear shades of both in their sound, with emotive vocals reminiscent of Miike Snow and a top notch production sound - West Coast beats rolling along with frosty NYC synths and lush Parisian melodies - that truly establishes them as a band to watch this year.

Dom has been burning up our stereo all summer long with his star-spangled banger "Living In America", and with the buzz around him beginning to carry overseas, we're thrilled to announce the band as the latest addition to the Neon Gold team. In association with Burning Mill Records - who released Dom's amazing debut Sun Bronzed Greek Gods EP from which the two tracks on the 7" are culled - we'll be bringing Dom's debut release beyond US borders into the world on Neon Gold later this month, complete with brilliant AA-side and EP standout "Jesus" on the flipside.

Standing in stark contrast to the synth-drenched, tongue-in-cheek patriotism of "Living In America", "Jesus" is a less ironic affair that finds Dom longing for the ephemeral pleasures of youth - ecstasy and basement parties, make-outs at the movies and young love - over lo-fi guitars and timid keys riffs. Like the more earnest younger cousin to the sterephonic bombast of "Living In America", "Jesus" shows off Dom's impressive versatility and provides a surprisingly brilliant compliment to it's All-American counterpart on this very special AA-side release. The last time we checked in with The Knocks they were igniting dancefloors across the nation with their debut single "Blackout", and now they're back with their amazing second offering, "Make It Better", out on Neon Gold this month. Trading the grimy late night dancefloors of "Blackout" for white sand beaches and the long light of summer, it's an effervescent slice of breezy dance pop that'll have you whistling it's tune well into autumn. Like The Avalanches meeting Delorean for margaritas on the seaside as "Young Folks" drifts by sweetly in the background, it's been the official soundtrack to our summer thus far and we hope it'll make an equally indelible mark on your season as well.

Last year our main man B-Roc (of The Knocks fame) dropped his debut mix on the world, aptly titled The Transplant. It ruled and all (and you can and probably should still check it out here), but now that he's back with the next installment, The Transplant II, that original effort seems like nothing more than a prelude to the greatness of its amazing sequel. He's been hard at work on it since we were on tour with him and Samuel on the west coast last month, and believe us the effort paid off. This is easily our favorite mix of all time, replete with Neon Gold classics both old and new. From beloved alumni like Marina & The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding and The Sound of Arrows, to the new class of Neon Gold all stars like Dom, The Naked & Famous and The Knocks themselves (all singles we haven't even announced yet but will be coming your way on 7" later this summer), this shit is off the chains. 40+ minutes of absolute bliss, you better believe this is worth your time.

There's a synth-pop epidemic taking over Massachuesetts and we're totally down with it. Carrying the torch lit by former Neon Gold alumni Passion Pit and Yes Giantess, Worcester newcomer Dom threatens to outshine both of them with his debut Sun Bronzed Greek Gods EP, out on Burning Mill Records next month. The whole thing is nothing short of amazing, but it's lead track "Living In America" that's dominating our stereo as one of the absolute best tracks we've heard all year. It basically sounds like Fear of Tigers producing that first Passion Pit EP, which as you can imagine is pretty much the best thing ever. Dom has completely and utterly restored our faith in new music, this shit is MAGIC.
