Selling pets is much like reselling recipes. You visit a vendor in most cases, buy cheap pets from them and then sell them for profit in the auction house.
Most expensive pets are harder to obtain however. They might be a drop from a monster or sold for something else than a few silvers, like all Argent Tournament pets.
Prices?If no one else is selling the pet and it was easy to obtain, ask 300g for it. If it's not available for the opposing faction or it was harder to acquire, ask 3000-8000g in the neutral auction house or in your local one. Note that you need patience for this! If the AH is flooded with the pet, put them into your bank and check back later.
Here are some average prices I've seen.
= 15-50g
= 50-100g
= 100-500g
= 700-1500g
= 2000-5000g
= 4000-8000gNote that faction restricted items will sell a for a lot more in neutral auction house!
