Reader Question- Is Crafted PvP Gear Dead in 4.2?

Hey Folks!

I thought I would "calm the storm" of a valuable market in Cata. One of my readers, Riffraph, noted that he has made a ton of bank from crafting PvP gear, and is worried about losing his "niche" market on his server with 4.2 and the better ilvl gear hitting the shelves.....tis true, that will change, but in a good way.

Without knowing what "set" he was working with, I know alot of folks that have made quite a bit of coin from them (or what is considered the PvP sets); Bloodied Pyrium, the Ornate Pyrium, Bloodied Dragonscale, Wyrmhide, Fireweave, etc.

Fear not, folks, although there is a "slight" change....

Once you download Patch 4.2, you will see your skills updated. No, not the skills you use to kill your squirrels while farming, but your crafted gear. Lemme go to wowhead and take a slice of their pie to explain (mouse-over the items for the new ilvl). This little list is also helpful for you 'smithers that are wondering what the cost for the full set is too. =)

The crafted pvp gear changes are going from the old (bloodied) i339 to the new (bloodthirsty) i358. What we are seeing is that the Firelands Raid "dropped" recipes are to be i378, epic crafted weapons are i365, respectively. What does this mean? Well, you should be absolutely killing the market with the new crafts that "magically" appear in your window. A big thanks to Blizz on that one. So craft it up, get em on the AH asap! Remember, if you aren't first in the gold game, you are last. Get the sales, keep the market, and watch the gold fly in!

Yeah. I figured. You already had it planned out to do this. For those that hadn't, here's a little checklist for you (new patch, first day):

--------------------------------------------------------

1. Open all craftable windows- what I mean here is get on your toons, see what's new or what has changed (especially in this case, see above).

2. Check trainer for....well....training. You would be surprised what shows up even if you are prepared from patch notes, blogs, etc.

3. Reset all your Auctions. I am sure to hear some flak on this one, but you want the freshest and bestest prices going. Quick sales= Quick gold= Quick recrafts= More gold. Don't fall into the "I double the price of "x" material, because sooner or later the ones under me will sell". Nope. With all the information that is out there on gold making, you cant risk it. Sell 10 of X item in the first day for 200g profit? Or sell one of X item in 10 days with 200g profit (because you weren't pushing the market, and it stabilized when yours didn't sell).

4. If you hadn't already, do a mini stockpile of the mats you need- on the market(s)with zero competition. Anytime I put a craftable item in the AH, I usually set two up for the same price, then have one in stock in my bag. When one sells, repost, then rock up another piece for your bags. Constant flow= Constant gold.

5. Keep tabs on Wowhead, MMOChampion, and Blogroll- This is a biggie. Once again, there is a ton of information that is out there, and you can't do everything at once. That's where the help comes in. There are great resources out there, make sure and use them!

6. Check Farm locations, usually herb and ore spots. This is a biggie. Now we know there are an absolute ton of dailies coming out, but if you go off the past information we have had, be it whiptail spawn-rates, ZG epics, etc, patches bring gold for farmers. Once again, keep on a lookout for these locations.

--------------------------------------------------------

There it is. Getcha ready for the patch, get logged in, and make some gold! Look for posts this week on the new scoops in 4.2 as they come out.

Oh, and if you didn't figure the answer for the question.......Hell's No's! It's gonna be just as good of a seller as the "old" sets! Getta move on, little doggie!

Issues with Pricing your Pets? The Undermine Journal has your answer!

Well, it's Monday. Again. Another day, another dollah. But with this fairly recent addition to TuJ, you don't have to question what pets you need to snatch up on your "vendor route" and how profitable they will be. Why you ask? Because the king over at Undermine has added not only a Companion search, but a Darkmoon Card area as well. Can Mr. E think of anything else to help us make gold?

Yeah, he can. A new project in the works about possibly adding cross faction information as well. I think really the only thing that TuJ cannot do to help you is log into your toon and hit the AH for you. But with all the updates, well.....maybe it will happen in the future.... =)

*Edit- Kaliope over Kaliope's Crafting Blog hit on a great addition to TuJ as well, if you haven't read it, go check it out!

Anyways, back to the scoop. Hold on to your seat, screenies incoming:

When you first get onto the main page, under Enhancements, you will see Companion (and directly to the left is Darkmoon). Go ahead and click....

Now don't think this is all of them. This SS is only about a third of the page. It keeps rolling....and rolling.....

Ok. Here's what you folks are going to do. Open a tab of this page, then go to WarcraftPets.com (if you aren't familiar with them, hit up the Pet's post I did recently). Take a piece of paper and a pen (don't worry if you haven't heard of them, they are old school. You can open a word doc or something) and start scratching down what you want to sell and where you need to get it.

Spend a few minutes running around (I would recommend grabbing MORE than one at a time) picking your vendor pets up, hit the AH, wait a few hours, and collect. Done. Gold in hand.

Now go to the park. Or the zoo. Or the bar. Do something. Get outta the house and enjoy fresh air. I am serious. Shut down your computer, put some sunscreen on your pasty white skin, dig the cheetos out your belly button, brush them teeth, and get outside a bit, would ya?! =)

*why are you still reading this? the post is done. over. that's it. nothing left. go on, get outta here!

The Absolute Best "How To" Guide for TSM- Tradeskill Master!

After all the issues that I have seen with this add-on, and all the folks I have helped, all the blogs I have read, all the time I invested figuring out the ins and outs with every little issue....and did I mention I was in the middle (three hours into it) of writing an "Alto's "How To" TSM Guide"?

Well, I open my TSM folder that I downloaded from curse.com, and what to my wondering eyes do appear? A minuture sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.....errr. wait. not really. Well, I will just show you:

Yeah. Not the "Unofficial" Guide to TSM, but the "Official" one. You gotta be kidding me! How I did not notice this is beyond me. I regrettably tossed my little 3 hours of work "how to" into the recycle bin....never to be brought up again...at least I hope to not hear about it again....

Have you ever had a "kick yourself in the ass" moment? What was it? I am sure it wasn't wasting 3 friggin hours on a project, to only have the "MAN" make a guide already? Not even a "peasant", but the "king of TSM", the one that wrote the friggin program, have the "OFFICIAL GUIDE"? I am getting a migrane....

So, if you are having issues or just plain out haven't tried this amazing addon due to all the problems and questions you had setting it up, now you have it. The absolute only guide you will ever need to look at again.

Like I mentioned....what have you done lately that deserves a boot in the ass? Or am I the only one that feels the pain?

"Help! I Can't Make Gold" --- Selling on the Auction House

Ugh. You know what? This is something I have seen and heard quite a bit over my blogging "career". If it isn't those exact words, it's something near: "I was making gold, and lately, I just have too much competition" or "I got bullied out of "X" market". There's many of them. You know what I say to that? One question, simply answered.

No, it isn't "oh, go do this, pick up this, grab these mats, craft this, post at this time and at this price" or something to that affect, which, although it is good advice, but no advice helps if you don't do one thing.....

I have coached near a dozen folks over the past month, I have assisted people with answering questions in emails, on skype (altosgoldishadvice), through twitter messages (@altosgold), a bit here and there in IRC, basically everywhere, and the number one issue that people have with making gold can be answered by one simple statement.....

I can hear you now. "CMON ALTO, GET TO THE POINT!". Great! I like your enthusiasm. Now use it. The number one issue folks have with making gold is......Auctions. Not that they are getting undercut, not that they are only posting once (or twice) a day, not that the materials cost is too high, but the issue is that they do not post auctions. Easy huh? Mos definitely. Do me a favor. Check TuJ (if you are US) and search yourself. How many active auctions do you have? 5, 10, 100, 500? 1000?

Ok. now, check your personal bank. If you have one, check your personal guild bank(s). What do you see? Schtuff? Probably. And alot of it. Why are you not selling it? Why are you not using the items in there to craft and sell? Ok, you might have some stockpile of XX item(s), but my point is why are you not listing them? And don't give me the "They don't sell" or "They cost too much to list" answers. Not a good enough excuse. I don't buy it (see the pun there?).

Ok, ok. You are wondering if this makes a difference. I keep a contant 4-600 auctions on this toon (shown below). For those unfamiliar, the top is when I post, the bottom is sales.

As you can see here, you need to keep a constant supply in the auction house to get consistent sales. Other than a few blips here and there (and server downtime), I basically have sales every hour of every day....and I am not on 24/7, I am not always undercutting, I am not always canceling and reposting (with the exception of glyphs here and there). I just keep things in the AH. Simple as that.

Or are you the type that gets into a market, sells a few here and there, gets into another market, and forgets about the first one? Probably. Alot of us fall into that, and I admit that it happens to me as well. But it happens. Dust off your shoulders, get back in.

Once again, this is so simple. But it's the simple things we forget about the most, and this is one of the traps that we all fall into, and it really disrupts our "goldflow". I will leave you with a thought:

"If you don't have it in the AH, there is no sale. Someone else is getting gold because you are slacking. You need to always have something posted. Always. If you can afford it, always have two of them in the AH. If one sells while you are away (sleeping/working/etc), there is another one to sell....Once you get back logged in, make/craft more, repost so you have two, then go on with your day"

Get to "work", and start making that gold again!

Enchanting Mats: Greater Eternal Essences and Auctioneer

To follow up with my enchanting post from a few days back, another issue that Megan was running into was finding materials for her enchants. Now I just picked one, as this seems to be one of the most expensive and highly sought after essences in WoW.

You can see from the screenshot above, that this surpasses the prices on any essence, in fact, it is a constant on most servers that this is the main dog. Now there are a few options you can utilize to pick up enchanting mats. You can use the Auctioneer Enchant Mats search (however mine seems to be broken for quite some time now...), but once again, and you should know by now, I don't always cover the easiest way to get things. Knowledge is power, and I want (and prefer) you to know and get used to the names, the items, and what and where they come from. Some addon's take all the "smarts" out of things, and at times, is okay. But this way you will be checking and learning, which is a positive step in the AH PvP.

So what we do know is that Greater Eternal Essence is disenchanted from many different items. I am going to focus on a few different ways (and you can go from there to find more, I just don't want this post to go 20 pages long). Mainly, I start with a search on Auctioneer for levels 48-55, as that seems to pull the best luck for me. The numbers might be a bit off (a level here and there), but this will get you started.

Upon the mouseover, your tooltab should show something to this effect. If you look midway down the lower window, you will see a "Disenchants Into:" and this is what you need to check before buying off the AH. Now this item has a 75% chance to "drop" 1.5 Illusion Dusts, and a 20% chance to drop the kingpin, Greater Eternal Essence. Is this a possibility? Sure it is. Is the the "golden" opportunity? Not really. We want focus on a 75% chance to drop Greaters.

See where I am going with this? You feeling me? Good.

In order to get the most Essences (any style, any level), you will want to push for Weapons. Let's check the AH again under the "Weapon" tab..

Now the reason why I listed this second is because, well, just to see if you are reading the entire post, and not skimming through. Seriously. You should check the weapon tab first, as this is where your most profit and least risk will come from. Sneaky, huh? Now let's glance at the tooltip:

Here you will see what we are looking for. We are using the Magus Long Staff of Stamina for an example. 8g buyout price, a possible 100g profit (if we get the proc on average, we obviously won't get a 1.5, but you get my point).

Now you can use the "Disenchant Value (AucAdv)" if you would like, but it's not something I look for. I go off the odds. Now we are seeing the 75% for Greaters, which is what we want. Remember, Blizz has a RNG for disenchants (random number generator), so if you just buy one to "flip", don't expect to get them everytime.

Once again, this is a starting point for you to go by purchasing and flipping or using them to profit. There might be more or less investment involved by crafting them yourself, so take a gander on your profs to see if crafting/de'ing is a good option or not.  I hope this little "how-to" works for you as well as it has for me, and remember, this "class" will work many different ways, you just need to adjust your numbers here and there within your search.

Alto's "How To" For Finding a Farmer on Your Server

To answer Ian's question from a few days back, I am going to cover how I "attempt" to get/keep farmers. Note the attempt part. The reason I use that word is that I don't know many folks that keep them for an extended period of time. Why?

* Farmers get banned
* Farmers transfer servers
* Farmers find someone that pays better than you
* Farmers quit farming
* Farmers forget about you

I am sure there are more, but these are the top reasons to "lose" them. Of course, we all know that there are bots in this game. Although I am not sure of exact numbers, I can safely figure that there are quite a few that are in game....Bots work in mysterious ways. From seeing plenty around over the years, and from talking with folks that do, I have a few numbers for you "from their side of the world":

I would guess around 20% of bots toss the "farmable mats"  in the Auction House (i.e herbs and ore) that probably another 20% get sold in /trade, and the rest are used by one of the farmers' other toons, sold in their guild, or shuffled through other accounts and "burned up" (either prospected or milled).

Let's look at a few different ways to pick one up.....

*There is the /who in a farming area (twilight highlands, uldum, etc.), then send a tell. If they are botting, they are probably afk and won't answer you, or they are a "human" farmer and they are doing it to relax (and don't want to be bothered). I don't recommend this one....

*There is the "spam trade" to find one, which is another I don't advise, but might work. You can use a macro for this, but if you think spamming Mysterious Fortune Cards is boring, you will really hate this. And others will hate you too. People will block you, report you, or just plain out ignore you. Once again, not my cup of tea.

*The Auction House.....When you see someone with 50 stacks in the AH, as you are buying them, send them a tell offering THE SAME PRICE YOU ARE BUYING THEM AT. Don't try to lowball, as they have a reason for farming. To make gold. If you are buying them for 40g per stack, and you buy them at 40 from the AH, you are paying 40g for them. Offer them to COD or to "friends list" you (and you add them too, with a comment of what mats they sold, the price % of AH, and date), or even to sell in person at the 40g. Please tell them the actual amount you are looking for too. If you ask for COD's and turn half of them down, you will lose your new pal quicker than you can say COD. Make sure you have the gold to pay them. No matter if they COD 10 stacks, 100 stacks, or 1000 stacks, make sure you have the gold to pay. And don't make them wait. As soon as you see a COD in your mailbox, BUY IT. Don't tell me "I don't have room". Bullshizzle. You do. Just pay the full COD, you take one stack. Do that with each and every stack. They have their gold, they are happy, and you have a "mini bank" in the mailbox to hold your purchase until you have room. *Make sure when opening the stacks in each mail that you don't hit CTRL and click, as you will send em right back to them....I know from experience on that one....the CTRL key and SHIFT key are pretty close to each other....

*Use the best option. /2. When you see someone in trade chat saying "WTS [Cinderbloom] 40g [Stormvine] 35g" You likely have yourself a farmer. I send a tell, saying "will buy all you have, invite". Purchase all they have. If you are looking for a farmer, make sure you have gold. Not on another toon, where you have to make them wait, but on the toon you are on right now. If you say "I will pay 35 for cinderbloom, and 30 for stormvine", you are losing out. My guess is if you see that tell, that price is less than AH, and to show "face" with them, don't try "dickering" the price down. Yet.....

Ok. You have picked up a farmer for your herbs now. Anytime I find a new farmer, I always /inspect them, and see what gear they are wearing. For the main fact that I like to "gift" them. They are giving you a good deal on items, and you want to return the favor....Another thing that I do to EVERY farmer that I buy from, whether it's a one time deal or a consistent seller, I send an in game mail to them afterword (normally a day) and toss them 100g, with a letter saying "Thanks, keep them coming!", or if they don't speakie da englash, then "More, More, More!" or something to that effect. This is one of the ways to keep one, or to get one excited to continue the friendship and transactions.

Hope this helps you getting and keeping a farmer. If you skimmed through this post and are only reading this part, I will hit on the most important part of the whole post: Be good to your farmer, and they will be good to you!

"How to" Decide What To Sell- Enchanting Scrolls

Great response so far with the questions folks! Thanks, and keep em coming!

The first one that I am going to cover will take a few posts, but we will start with deciding what scrolls to sell in the AH. She mentioned checking TuJ already, but also wondering the best way to check the others that aren't listed there.

Well, there are limited spots (15) on TuJ that cover only the "Current Profitable Scrolls". If it so happens that most are unobtainable for you (rare drops, or you can't hit up Twilight to get your new recipies), you don't have the capital for purchasing Maelstrom Crystals (which will change now with the 4.1 vendor), or you are lower level and have zero access to all of these, we gotta go "old school" and check manually....Well, not really, we are still using an add-on, Auctionator.

To get the ball rolling, get to the auction house. Pull up your buy tab on Auctionator, and type in "Scroll of". As long as you have a bit of data behind you (with recent scans) you will pull up both the current auctions, and auctions that aren't up for sale (see left). This will assist you in snatching up markets that there are currently zero auctions for "X" item.

Upon scrolling down, you will see the "top end" scrolls that are available. Now this won't pull the average sales like TuJ, it will give you an idea of the current market and the prices that they are currently listed at.  Now obviously, you are not going to want to compete with 10 other auctions for "X" item, you will want to craft and hop into the lesser supplied markets here, you can feel "kinda" safe to work in when there are only a couple (as in one, two, or three) for sale.

Now just open up your Enchanting tab, use the search function (to the right of "All" on the top left of the screen), type in what enchant you are choosing, mouse over the mats needed, get your cost, and if there is no competition, I generally price scrolls at double to triple the mats cost. *Now if you are competing, then you just need to undercut them, and Auctionator does that for you automatically. =)

Now if you want to get technical, you can reset your Auctioneer data, scan twice a day for a week, and get a "recent" baseline for prices, then check your tooltip to see how many have been seen, what they have sold for, etc. Another option here is to set up a "shopping" list in Auctionator and add the scrolls there manually, and keep tabs on the ebb and flow of the prices.

For the time restricted, you can just skip over that last paragraph and only use my top "pictured" examples, they will more than provide you with enough information to decide which enchants to sell. Now stop reading and get to selling!

Don't forget, if you don't have auctions up, they won't sell. Make sure with your scrolls that you are utilizing a 24-48 hour auction, and don't fret if they don't sell right away, enchants normally sell within two days of posting for weapons, three days for 2H, and up to a week for gear. Although at current times, this might be a bit of a slow market for most, when Blizz announces new content (i.e 4.1 coming soon), the market will pick up considerably, then drop once again between content releases.

Help! I Need Somebody, Help! Not Just Anybody! Using Auctionator

Eh Beet-ulz (you might have to read that again...say it out loud if you have to)

I think they said it best with that set of lyrics. Time and time again, whether it is answering emails, "PM's" on Twitter, or chatting on Skype or on Friday's meetings in JMTC, I get asked quite a few questions. I always do my best to answer them. I have done many posts on reader's questions that just cannot be answered in a quick response, so I dedicate a post to them.

I enjoy helping folks. I enjoy finding niche markets for people, I enjoy seeing that when I advise someone to do something it works.

Last night, I was answering a few questions here and there (like most nights I am on) and I tossed some information out:

After the new xpac release, the Cata Herbs in my AH were sparse. Not that there wasn't any available, but the prices were just too high for my "normal" purchasing needs. When I invest, I prefer to [at least] double my investment or I don't feel it's worth my time. So I needed to look a bit further into my AH to see what I can do. My glyph supplies were running low, and I wasn't sure which route to take.

Using Auctionator, I typed in "Glyph of" and tapped search. After 50+ pages, I started seeing that there were multiple options to purchase them for slivers, and restock and resell them by "resetting" the price. I know I have talked about this before, so you should be on the same page. If not, just do a quick search on this page to find the post.

Now fast forward to last night. In Skype, I was chatting it up and explaining my process on "flipping" items in the AH. How I do it, what I look for, and how to buy/resell them. Then I mentioned to him to use the "Glyph of" search. We talked it over, and advised him as we went along. Glyph of XXXX (a healing totem I believe), a few listed as 20s, a few at 40s, and a few around a gold. Total investment was less than 5g. I had him relist for 125g, even though the "normal" price for the glyph was around 30ish gold.

We went through a few more, and I had him buy out a few different situations (back to the "you can give a man a fish when he's hungry, or you can teach him to fish so he is never hungry again"). Another Glyph had a few gold of buyouts, then it went to 6g, 7g, and so on. We bought out to the 6g, and listed at 10% under (setting up the Auctionator for 10% undercut versus the "preset" 5%).

Around 30 minutes later, he hollered out "holy s#$%! Alto, you were right! I just sold a glyph or 125g!". That is the feeling I look for. Hearing that just made me realize once again why I do what I do. I have a blog to inform. I have a blog to help. But behind all that, I guess my main vice is greed. I enjoy giving advice and getting that feedback of a job well done. When I help someone, I get a feeling of pride. It's my drug. I actually get a high from it. No, not that hazy, gotta eat cheesy puffs high, not that "seeing sounds and hearing colors" high, but a boost of adrenaline (I am not a doctor, I am sure there is a name for it....maybe that's my addiction?).

Back to the title of my post, Help! I need Somebody! I need to feed my addiction....

I am once again gonna toss this out there. Are you stuck making gold? Are you at a stall point? Have I done a post that you are completely confused how to pull off? Holler. Send me an email with a question, and in the subject line write blogpost. I will either respond to you in email or you will see your answer posted. This isn't a "I have this, this, and this, and I don't know what to do", that is more for my coaching program. I am looking for a specific issue you have, and I will help you get through it.

So help me help you. =) Thanks again!

TSM and Alto...Friends at Last- Thanks Nev and Zoxy!

Hey folks. You have heard much disregard from me on TSM. Not that I am bashing the addon, but that I wasn't too keen to the idea behind it.

I guess the best way to describe it is that there were too many things going on for poor Alto to handle. In order to just set things up, you have literally 20 screens to get things rocking. Nev from Auction House Addicts did a post earlier in the week on how [she?] uses TSM for all her glyph posting and how well it has worked for her.

Being the stubborn WoW player that I am, I feel that addons are around to make our lives easier, not to take an hour to setup, have issues throughout (unknown vendor purchases anyone?), and just at an utter loss on the supposed "ease of use".

To dive deeper into it, I basically didn't want to spend the time to get it setup myself, almost thinking "my way" was better than the program. A few bloggers posted "how to's", and that really just made my tiny brain more confused, so I wrote it off. Until Nev. I commented on her post asking if she can make a "how to" that even a dumbfounded Alto can understand. Yesterday, she posted the first part on how to set up the addon. It took about 20 minutes to set up, and I was extremely surprised on the actual "ease" of it. I am 100% positive that it was due to her writing and explaining each step thoroughly that made sense to me this time.

Today, she finished her Part Deux of the post on glyphing, and all is good. I thought. I run into another issue (go figure....), I am not able to "buy" my crafts, my TSM is only grabbing Lion's Ink glyphs, JEEBUS! Did I mention I really, really hate this addon?! Luckily, Zoxy popped onto Skype, and after an hour of messing around, we finially figured out the issue(s).

To make a long story short, due to not paying attention to Nev's guide, I missed a tiny spot (clicking the enable all crafts) that jacked me up to no end (not to mention a few other issues). So please follow everything in AHA's guide, and you will be ready to rock.

If you work TSM, you will be happy. It does take quite a bit of time for setup, quite a bit more time to craft, but the Auction part is what I am really pleased with. Posting, cancelling, reposting. The time I am saving here will "pay" for my time setting up the whole deal.

So for all those that are "skeered" about getting into this addon, all the trouble that it takes to start when you get it set up, it makes life sooo much easier. As long as TSM is working, it will be working for me.

Thanks again Nev and Zoxy. And once again, if you have been against this addon, believe me, it is worth it. If you can figure the damn addon out. I truly wish you the best of luck. You will need it...

As a reminder, JMTC is having their Friday Night Special going on, so write down some questions, and c'mon over! There are a handful of AH pro's available to answer you gold making issues at the beginning, then it's open "mic" for general gold'ish chat. See you there!

Bored? Alto's "How-To"-Farming BRD for Fiery Enchant

You have heard me hit on this before, as it was one of my favorite "stealth" spots since back in Vanilla WoW. On my server, I noticed the enchant was selling for just shy of 800g recently, so I decided to do a few runs there. Blizz still has instances on a 1 hour reset (being able to reset 5 times per hour), and in all reality, with no distractions, you can knock out all 5 of them in less than 15 minutes.

First off, you will be going to Searing Gorge and a quick "flight" to Blackrock Depths. Once you get near the instance, you go up a "wooden slabbed" hill near where my cursor is. Once inside, follow the curve and just fly down toward the fire pit, and on your right you will see a little doorway, go in, maze a bit, then BAM! at the instance....

Once inside, there will be a doorway to your left. Enter through there. Immediately to your right (after going through the doorway), you will see another door.

Once again, you have another door to go into (on your left), but this isn't like the other "gates", this is a solid "steel" door. Go right in...You will see a set of stairs on your right. Two sets of stairs, go up em both.

Once you get through the second staircase, you will see the "Ring". Run around the half circle to the highlighted doorway, then take an immediate right (there are a few packs of lvl 51-53 mobs before you see Pyromancer Loregrain, which is the "mini boss" that will drop your Formula: Enchant Weapon- Fiery Weapon.

If you see this, then you found him. Easy Peasy? Yup. He's at the back of the room. After you take care of business (and hopefully get the drop), then you can run out the way you came, get to the "Ring" again, and jump over the "lip". See the little door to the left there? Run through there, and take a sharp right.

When you get to the opening, the start of the instance is literally across the open space in front of you. Now you are done with "round one". Step outside the instance, do a "Reset all Instances" (right click your picture in the upper left of the screen, and there's a dropdown box). Now all you gotta do is this four more times, and then hit the AH with your recipe(s)!

If you are one of the lucky ones, you can get a few per run. If you are unlucky, well, you can walk away with just vendor blues from the boss (last night I was 1/5- didn't get screenies....this morning, 0/5). Now there are plenty other ways to farm in this instance, if you are interested, holler and I will do a total run through (but a warning, the other drops are not nearly worth the time or effort with current prices). Most of all, this isn't meant for a "UBER GOLD PER HOUR" spot, it's just a fun location that brings me back to my WoW "childhood".

*the post is a bit sloppy with all the pictures, hopefully it isn't too distracting...

Do you have an "old school" instance you like to farm here and there? Or a certain spot for soloing mobs that you frequent lately? Holler out, as I am always looking for new "soloists". If you don't feel like commenting, and are interested in turning it into a post, toss me an email at altosgoldishadvice@gmail.com

Xander had a great point as well in comments that needs to be met:
Hey just wanted to add in that there is a vendor inside the instances. Instead of turning left turn right and go to the npcs and look for Yuka Screwspigot the Engineering Supplys npc. You can sell your vendor trash and repair but all she sells and on the last page pick up the Schematic: Deadly Scope. and Fyi everytime you reset the instances it reappears. Sells for about 20g each if not more depending on how many people are farming BRD.

What? No TuJ? Help for the EU folks out there!

I want to thank you all for your emails, and for those I haven't replied to, I will be posting your questions within the next few weeks. For those that were too scared to email, don't hesitate, you still can. Don't let that frustration build up, let it out. Holler. Altosgoldishadvice@gmail.com

Alright, the title kinda covers the situation here. No, not that situation (I know for all you Jersey Shores'ians out there...), this situation:

Hey Alto,

Been a reader for a while now and really like your content. So I am finially am asking a question. I need help. I play on EU XXXXX, and you seem to talk quite alot about the undermine journal. We get snooked (sorry, I had to change that due to the term used, but since I was on a Jersey Shore kick, well, I used another character) <<fast forward>> I am wondering what you use when you aren't checking them (i.e undermine) or what you can "advice" me to do.

Thanks for your help, XXXXXX

Well, if you can't tell, this person wanted to remain anonymous, but I have an answer to what ails them, and here you go!

First off, I want you to get to the AH. For this example, I am gonna use which Enchanting formula to pick. Go into your buy tab of Auctionator, and I want you to make a shopping list. Just random, but lets name this Pauly D. No? Too much? Ok. Let's call it Enchanting. Deal? Okie Dokie. Now the "quicker" sellers that I have seen are obviously the weapon enchants, so I added Enchant Weapon and Enchant 2H Weapon. If you feel the need, you can use all of them: bracers, chest, bla, bla, bla. K? ok. Next...

I scroll down the page to see what there is little competition on....

"Alto, don't you realize if there is one that is zero it won't show up?"

Dammit, I was trying to talk, and you cut in. Well, I guess that's what I get for having multiple personalities...Anyways, here's your answer. Look at the picture above. See how there is one that says "none available"? It's because I have done this scan before. The addon remembers. So after a few times of doing this, you will see what isn't there...feel me? But now, I am wanting you to focus on what is, and what there is one of. Example inc:

Believe it or not, this one still sells. Fiery Enchant. There is only one in the AH (actually my AH toon has it listed- but I started with three, so two sold in the last day). I then open my Enchant tab (and use the search at the top there looking for fiery so it pulls up and I don't have to search through them manually) and find fiery to see the mats cost. 4 Small Radiant Shard and 1 Essence of Fire. Add up the mats quick, and I am looking at 30g to make one. Listing at 150g, that's an eazy peazy 120g profit per. This took me less than a minute to search for...so checking through the whole list might take you 5 min to decide which to craft and sell.

"Alto, how do I know if it's gonna sell? How do I know how long to post?"

Well, I gotsta tell you that looking at things this way will not tell you if it will sell. You either need to go off experience, or you need to guess (I am sure someone in comments can say the site to go to....). As for the how long to post? I post a couple (2 or 3) at 48hrs (cheap AH fees) and then I will check back the next day and repost (not cancel the original auction) for another 48. And just cycle them like that. Question answered? Hope so...

So there you go XXXX, I hope that explains my process. Fairly simple, doesn't take any time, and it's a buy and sell right off the AH. Buy, craft, sell, get mail. Done.

Does that cover what you are looking for? Oh yeah, I just realized that you probably don't even know what Jersey Shore is over there, don't worry, you aren't missing much....except maybe JWow, but I am sure you have Maxim.

To my readers:

Did I miss something? You do it a bit different? Even the US folks probably use some version of this, as I do not check the TuJ daily when I post. I do it this way to make my decisions on what to craft. I use TuJ when I go into new markets to "feel out" the competition. Anyways, holler below, if for anything, because you want to. Thanks. =)

*Edit- Thanks to Anonymous below, they mentioned that Russia was not on the map above, so here you go!
