How to make gold without farming - For enchanters

If you're feeling lazy and heavenly shards are still expensive on your realm, you might want to check the AH for cheaper-than-a-heavenly blue quality items, as long as you have Enchanting available.

Getting rich by disenchanting stuff!
Some people don't have Enchanting or are not aware of the dust/shard/essence prices and have been selling Cataclysm blue items for crazy cheap recently. I've managed to snatch well over a hundred of them in a few days for as little as 30g each.

A heavenly shard still goes for even 120g during odd hours on my realm, so there's a possible profit of even 450g per item disenchanted, but that would require lucky procs from the guild perk bountiful bags.

Here's the most popular items people have been selling:

But there are hundreds more sold every day, so buy every level 82+ blue item that costs less than a heavenly shard. And make sure to be in a high level guild so you can get even 4 x Heavenly Shard per item disenchanted!

Heavenly shards not valuable on your realm?
There's lots of gold to be made by disenchanting older items also, but mainly from green quality items. To see an item's disenchant value in a tooltip, use an addon like Auctionator

Just select a category in the Auction House, like armor and sort the results from cheap to expensive. Then just mouseover cheap items and see their Disenchant value. If it's higher than the buyout price, buy it.

For example, if you paste this into the Auctionator's search field, it will list all armors from levels 1 to 85: Armor/1/85

I like this method mainly because it takes less than 5 minutes to do and requires no farming, yet it's extremely profitable. Though if I search for other than Cata items also, it takes a bit longer. I think I've made about 40k in 2 weeks just from disenchanting!

Heavenly Shards - 4500g in 10 minutes?

Heavenly Shards are one of the most needed items currently, yet their supply is a lot more limited now when people simply don't walk into heroics anymore! This can be told by looking at their price also. For a few days these shards have been selling for about 90-100g, more if there's less available.

Finding another use for that cheap ore!
Professions needed: Blacksmithing & Enchanting

Obsidium and Elementium Ore is cheap as dirt these days, and the bars are more valuable even if taking their material costs into account. If this is the case on your realm also, it's wise to buy ores instead and smelt them as needed.

This method focuses on creating and disenchanting either Stormforged Shoulders or Stormforged Legguards. Blacksmithing skill of 425 is needed to create these.

The raw materials are cheap!
  • 8 x Obsidium Ore
  • 16 x Elementium Ore
Total cost currently: 21g
Disenchant value currently:  95-380g

When disenchanted, you get 1-4 Heavenly Shards. Amount mostly depends on if you have bountiful bags guild perk.

Let's say you create 20 pants, disenchant them and get 50 Heavenly Shards and they sell for 95g currently. You'd be 4080g richer then you were before after negating the mat costs, assuming you don't get undercutted.

It's wise to put a short duration on your auctions so you don't have to wait 48 hours if you get undercutted. Or alternatively check from time to time if you should cancel and relist. :)

20k Gold in 7 days from Heirloom Enchants

Everyday someone purchases heirlooms, and most of the time, they want them enchanted too. Most of the weapon enchants are rare and people don't either have the materials, time or even the knowledge of them. This allows enchanters to make lots of profit when selling these. Often you have very little competition and with certain enchants you will be the only one selling them.

Don't forget to create eye-catching macros!
I have about 70 scrolls for sale 24/7, and almost half of them are heirloom enchants, rest are Cataclysm end game enchants and WOTLK end game enchants for level 60 and 70 PVPrs.

To make people buy my loom enchants faster, I've created a bunch of eye-catching macros that make people check their alts if their looms are enchanted. According to my calculations, the most I've made from scrolls is about 20k in 7 days. Some days I only get a few customers, some days so many they have to line up!

Don't forget to spice your advertising macros up with different symbols like {skull} and {star}, and convince people why they should be using the best enchants for their heirlooms. Give them some statistics. For example, let them know how much faster they will gain levels or pwn in PVP with the extra stats.

Just how valuable are the Heirloom Enchant Scrolls?
Most enchanters don't seem to understand the value of their scrolls. Seeing as their material costs are sometimes in the hundreds, they still keep listing their enchants for even less sometimes. It's often a good idea to buy these scrolls and relist them for even 2-3x higher prices. They will go! This affects other than heirloom enchants aswell.

If you want to be the only one selling certain enchants, try something else than the usual Crusader or Fiery Weapon. It's profitable, you get to choose your prices! c:

The prices you will see are from my personal experience. I've sold them for no less than the smaller price or not a copper higher than the higher price. Sometimes people are undercutting, but I just focus on other enchants or buy them out if it's profitable.

Protips:
  • You can often purchase level 53+ greenies and blues from the auction house and make even 130g profit from each by disenchanting them and putting them into use. Bountiful Bags guild perk is highly recommended!
  •  If you have spare honor, you can also buy level 55 ish PVP blue items and disenchant them! They cost only about 50 honor.

Prices may be different on your realm. They also seem to change quite a bit, depending on how many others are selling them aswell.

There are other enchants aswell, but I haven't found them to either sell fast enough or they haven't been as profitable.

If engineers want to make some profit aswell, they should be creating different scopes! A scope may sell for a lot if you're the only one selling it, which you usually will be! Don't ignore the lowbies, get some low level scope schematics aswell!

Professions, You Got 'Em? But are they the Right Ones?

Wow. What a whirlwind weekend. During our Easter Holiday, my daughter and I went on an egg hunt, had a blast, hit up a petting zoo (and she tried to kiss a duck- not good...no, she didn't get hurt) and spent some time with the family. Good times.

Due to that, my blog missed a couple posts, and I didn't log into wow for two days. Needless to say, I had a few mails waiting that needed addressed...

Enough of that, what I want to hit on today is Professions. Most folks know that having professions equates to having gold. Don't get me wrong, you can make quite a bit of gold without them, but you can make a shitton more with them. You can make even more if you have ones that mesh. And if you aren't skeered to powerlevel them (and know when to change them by watching your AH) you can make even more. Let me explain....

Ok. You are a farmer. You pick Ore. Or Herbs. Well, you probably teamed up with Herbalism and Mining on the same toon. What? You have mining and an Engineer? Ok, makes sense. You are losing out on herbs, but you are gaining the proc Volatile Air....does it even out pricewise? Nah. I did it, I don't follow the hype. I was getting near a 8% proc per node. Not profitable, I went back to Herbalism. See where I am going with this? One, you can't believe all that you hear, and two, you must check once in a while to see if your professions are profitable, and change when needed.

Ok. You are a Obsidium Shuffler. You have Jewelcrafting and Enchanting. You take the Ore, you prospect it, you craft goods, then you D/E. Gotcha. But what if you don't have an Enchanter? You are paying someone to D/E for you? Why? Have you realized your losses? What about time lost? Yeah, it's probably quite a bit....what about *cough* stolen mats? Are you actually getting back what you should in your disenchanting? I sure hope so....

Ok. You are a Glyper. You have a Scribe. What? An actual solo profession? Yeah, it is. Well, you do need herbs. You can mill them, get the pigments, then turn them into inks, then create glyphs....wow. you don't really need anything else? But.....

Ok. You are an Alchemist. You need herbs to make your flasks. Thats it. But then you use your transmutes. You need uncut greens for Shadowspirits. You need ore/bars for Truegold. What's that? You need Volatile Lifes too? Another Transmute? yeah. More options....

See where I am going here? I hope so. Reheck your Professions. See if you have the most profitable ones. Do they mesh together or defeat the purpose? Do you have Blacksmithing and never see bars in the AH?

Do you have Leatherworking but can never find leather? By now, you should know your professions and how they are helping or hurting you. Either pat yourself on your back or get to work, and have your professions work for you, and not you work for them.

What? You are wondering what those SS are throughout the post? The Train-a-tron in Azshara of course. One stop shop for training. Second floor of the inn. Approx 57, 50.7 if you have GPS. =)

    WTS Weapon Glows

There's some low level weapon enchants that are very cheap to make, yet give a nice chunk of gold when sold as a scroll, especially for low level players.

Usually you can find the Formula: Enchant Weapon - Minor (or lesser) Beastslayer for sale for as little as 2g. You then can resell it for even 150g as a formula, or you can learn it yourself and make some scrolls. I've sold Minor Beastslayer scrolls for about 50-100g and Lessers for 100-200g, while they cost about 4-7g to make usually. They sell relatively fast because they offer a nice, unique red glow and bank chars/RPrs often don't get to choose which enchants to pick because there's never any low level weapon enchant scrolls for sale, at least on the realms I play on, except maybe Fiery Weapons.

If you want to give them something to choose from, I recommend Crusader, Demonslaying, Fiery Weapon, Unholy, Greater Striking, Lifestealing and Icy Chill enchants.

I'm fairly sure you will be the only one selling them so you get to pick your prices. Say, 500g per glow! You can even advertise your weapon glows in the trade chat!

    Level 1 Enchants:

    Beastslayers = Red
    Lesser Elemental Slayer = Red
    Crusader = White
    DemonslayingOrange
    Fiery = Fiery!
    Unholy = Greenish rotating skulls
    Greater Striking = Blue
    Icy Chill = Chilling white
    Lifestealing = Purple
    Agility = Green
    Mighty Spirit/Intellect = Yellow

Leave a comment if I have forgotten any enchants.

Here's some useful macros for enchanters!

/2 Does your bank alt's stick look like it's missing something? Get some colors! Level 1 Weapon Glow Enchants now available! Colors available: <list em here> Only 300g per color!

/2 Do you like to roleplay? Want to look more badass than others? Weapon colors are here! Many to choose from, such as: <colors> No level requirements! Only 300g per glow!

You may have to shorten them or put each into more than one macro if it goes over the character limit. I don't need to use macros myself so haven't tested em.

Though there are some enchants that are worth more than that, like Crusader scrolls, so you should have higher prices for certain glows. You may also try your luck selling item level 35+ TBC enchants.

    Four ways to make gold

Since Crusader weapon enchant no longer exists as a drop, I haven't seen anyone selling the enchant as a scroll anymore for some reason and even more unlikely would be to see someone sell the formula instead. This gives a great opportunity for enchanters that have learned the formula at some point.

Righteous Orbs that are needed for the enchant still drop from Stratholme.

This forces people to buy different enchants for their Bloodied Arcanite Reapers, Hooo! For example, I've noticed people are willing to spend a lot more coin on my Fiery Weapon scrolls since Cataclysm.

This gives us a few ways to make extra gold:

    1. Sell the Crusader enchant as scrolls. I always keep about 2 scrolls for sale, ranging between 1700-2200g and they will go usually within 4 days. I could probably ask even more.

    2. If you can find a Crusader enchant formula gathering dust in your bank, you have a limited opportunity to make about 15000g by selling it as a formula, possibly even more considering how much gold it can make in the long run and that it is no longer available in the game - For now. But the buyer doesn't need to know that! ;)

    3. Sell Fiery Weapon scrolls. Usually there's 1 more person selling the scrolls, undercutting you. But these scrolls are hot and they will be sold usually within 24 hours so undercutting the undercutters is pointless. I usually ask 149-299g for each scroll, depending on certain factors, such as competition and the price of small radiant shards.

    4. Don't have enchanting? Go farm the Fiery Weapon formula instead! It drops from Pyromancer Loregrain in Blackrock Depths, usually once every 3 runs. No one bothers farming it anymore so you can decide the price tag yourself usually. I've seen people pay even 1000g for it! 300g is the average price though.

Another enchant worth a mention is Lifestealing, can get about 500g from the formula. The material costs are insane on my realm and people seem to be selling it a lot more than Fiery scrolls.

Multiple GMs have confirmed that the Crusader formula will be added back to the game in a later patch, so their prices will drop dramatically at some point. Better to be fast!

Oh and I can't add shiny screenshots to this post since the realms are down, so here's a bunny with a pancake on her head!

How to make gold in instances

Some vanilla enchanting materials have had their prices increased dramatically in the past few months on some realms, notably Large Brilliant Shards as they are no longer obtained from the short instances, like Scholomance and Stratholme due to their level drop after Cataclysm.

For example, Large Brilliant Shards sell for 60g these days on the realms I play on, Small Radiant Shards 35g and Large Radiant Shards even 100g sometimes.

Considering how many you can get from one instance run and how fast, it's a nice way to make some extra gold if you have enchanting!

You also get lots of greenies that disenchant into sometimes even more valuable dusts and essences!

Here are some of the most valuable materials and where to obtain them. If you're doing this on a level 85 toon, you don't have to think which instance is the fastest, you will hit the 5 instances/hour limit very fast in every case. If you dont have a level 85 toon, better to level one there! :)

    Scholomance

    Small Radiant Shards

This was better pre-Cataclysm when you could aggro the whole downstairs from the bridge near the entrance, making the instance both faster and more fun. (In soviet Scholomance the mobs come to you!)

Engineers can still however aggro the zombies and skeletons in the cellar by tossing a Saronite bomb into the ground when you're above the cellar. The blast radius goes through the floor and aggros everything downstairs. Less running, unless you're going for the boss in there! Some other bombs may work too, haven't tested.

    Stratholme

    Large Radiant Shards

The instance is divided into 2 parts, "living side" and "undead side". You may want to stick to Balnazzar's "living side", depending on what you are farming. Both large shards tend to drop from that side. You can find mostly Small Brilliant Shards in the "undead side", which are not worth the effort usually.

    Blackrock Spire

    Large Brilliant Shard

This instance is huge, but every boss drops a Large Brilliant Shard. In addition to that, every greenie will disenchant into Illusion Dusts and Greater Eternal Essences if you choose to annihilate every monster in your path.

This instance is divided into 2 zones too, Upper Spire (UBRS) and Lower Spire (LBRS), the first one being a former raid instance. Upper is on the left side behind the stairs.

There's also valuable chests in this instance which may contain very valuable profession recipes, so in my opinion, this instance is the best one to farm large brill shards!

    Blackrock Depths

    Large Brilliant Shard

You should focus on the upper city, since the lower part of the instance gains you mostly Small Brilliant Shards which still are not worth anything sadly. There's the handy "mole" next to the entrance portal so you don't have to run into the upper city anymore!

Overall, depending on your realm's prices, its easy to make a few thousand gold pieces in a very little time, possibly even more if you find a valuable treasure chest on your way.

Timbermaw Rep Farming For Enchanters: 1H and 2H Agility

Following up with my enchanting questions, this is once again a part of a few enchant recipies that are the more "rare" in the AH, and although it's vanilla, and not even close to BiS, it's still worth having for no other reason than the profitability involved. The Timbermaw Tribe floats around a few areas, northern felwood and mid Winterspring. Obviously, the 2H Agility Enchant you can snatch up fairly quickly with little grinding involved. After a while I of running around regrinding this farm (for the second time for this post) I stopped for a minute (getting redundant), and hopped to wowhead to work on writing this post. While I was there,  I noticed there is a great "cheatsheet" on a quick run to exalted. So thanks to kennyparker1337 for the walkthrough, then thanks to dje871 for the macro for the "turnins" as well.

Enchanting Mats: Greater Eternal Essences and Auctioneer

To follow up with my enchanting post from a few days back, another issue that Megan was running into was finding materials for her enchants. Now I just picked one, as this seems to be one of the most expensive and highly sought after essences in WoW.

You can see from the screenshot above, that this surpasses the prices on any essence, in fact, it is a constant on most servers that this is the main dog. Now there are a few options you can utilize to pick up enchanting mats. You can use the Auctioneer Enchant Mats search (however mine seems to be broken for quite some time now...), but once again, and you should know by now, I don't always cover the easiest way to get things. Knowledge is power, and I want (and prefer) you to know and get used to the names, the items, and what and where they come from. Some addon's take all the "smarts" out of things, and at times, is okay. But this way you will be checking and learning, which is a positive step in the AH PvP.

So what we do know is that Greater Eternal Essence is disenchanted from many different items. I am going to focus on a few different ways (and you can go from there to find more, I just don't want this post to go 20 pages long). Mainly, I start with a search on Auctioneer for levels 48-55, as that seems to pull the best luck for me. The numbers might be a bit off (a level here and there), but this will get you started.

Upon the mouseover, your tooltab should show something to this effect. If you look midway down the lower window, you will see a "Disenchants Into:" and this is what you need to check before buying off the AH. Now this item has a 75% chance to "drop" 1.5 Illusion Dusts, and a 20% chance to drop the kingpin, Greater Eternal Essence. Is this a possibility? Sure it is. Is the the "golden" opportunity? Not really. We want focus on a 75% chance to drop Greaters.

See where I am going with this? You feeling me? Good.

In order to get the most Essences (any style, any level), you will want to push for Weapons. Let's check the AH again under the "Weapon" tab..

Now the reason why I listed this second is because, well, just to see if you are reading the entire post, and not skimming through. Seriously. You should check the weapon tab first, as this is where your most profit and least risk will come from. Sneaky, huh? Now let's glance at the tooltip:

Here you will see what we are looking for. We are using the Magus Long Staff of Stamina for an example. 8g buyout price, a possible 100g profit (if we get the proc on average, we obviously won't get a 1.5, but you get my point).

Now you can use the "Disenchant Value (AucAdv)" if you would like, but it's not something I look for. I go off the odds. Now we are seeing the 75% for Greaters, which is what we want. Remember, Blizz has a RNG for disenchants (random number generator), so if you just buy one to "flip", don't expect to get them everytime.

Once again, this is a starting point for you to go by purchasing and flipping or using them to profit. There might be more or less investment involved by crafting them yourself, so take a gander on your profs to see if crafting/de'ing is a good option or not.  I hope this little "how-to" works for you as well as it has for me, and remember, this "class" will work many different ways, you just need to adjust your numbers here and there within your search.

"How to" Decide What To Sell- Enchanting Scrolls

Great response so far with the questions folks! Thanks, and keep em coming!

The first one that I am going to cover will take a few posts, but we will start with deciding what scrolls to sell in the AH. She mentioned checking TuJ already, but also wondering the best way to check the others that aren't listed there.

Well, there are limited spots (15) on TuJ that cover only the "Current Profitable Scrolls". If it so happens that most are unobtainable for you (rare drops, or you can't hit up Twilight to get your new recipies), you don't have the capital for purchasing Maelstrom Crystals (which will change now with the 4.1 vendor), or you are lower level and have zero access to all of these, we gotta go "old school" and check manually....Well, not really, we are still using an add-on, Auctionator.

To get the ball rolling, get to the auction house. Pull up your buy tab on Auctionator, and type in "Scroll of". As long as you have a bit of data behind you (with recent scans) you will pull up both the current auctions, and auctions that aren't up for sale (see left). This will assist you in snatching up markets that there are currently zero auctions for "X" item.

Upon scrolling down, you will see the "top end" scrolls that are available. Now this won't pull the average sales like TuJ, it will give you an idea of the current market and the prices that they are currently listed at.  Now obviously, you are not going to want to compete with 10 other auctions for "X" item, you will want to craft and hop into the lesser supplied markets here, you can feel "kinda" safe to work in when there are only a couple (as in one, two, or three) for sale.

Now just open up your Enchanting tab, use the search function (to the right of "All" on the top left of the screen), type in what enchant you are choosing, mouse over the mats needed, get your cost, and if there is no competition, I generally price scrolls at double to triple the mats cost. *Now if you are competing, then you just need to undercut them, and Auctionator does that for you automatically. =)

Now if you want to get technical, you can reset your Auctioneer data, scan twice a day for a week, and get a "recent" baseline for prices, then check your tooltip to see how many have been seen, what they have sold for, etc. Another option here is to set up a "shopping" list in Auctionator and add the scrolls there manually, and keep tabs on the ebb and flow of the prices.

For the time restricted, you can just skip over that last paragraph and only use my top "pictured" examples, they will more than provide you with enough information to decide which enchants to sell. Now stop reading and get to selling!

Don't forget, if you don't have auctions up, they won't sell. Make sure with your scrolls that you are utilizing a 24-48 hour auction, and don't fret if they don't sell right away, enchants normally sell within two days of posting for weapons, three days for 2H, and up to a week for gear. Although at current times, this might be a bit of a slow market for most, when Blizz announces new content (i.e 4.1 coming soon), the market will pick up considerably, then drop once again between content releases.

How to make thousands of gold just from enchanting!

There's lots of enchants in the game, but what enchants give the most profit when sold as a scroll? Time to find out!

Note that every enchant in the game can be sold for profit. But these have been proven to give the most gold. Some extremely rare enchants haven't been included because they are either too hard to acquire or can be sold for bigger profit as they are, such as [Formula: Enchant Weapon - Battlemaster]

    What about prices?
Prices are quite easy to calculate. If you use enchantrix addon (Comes with auctioneer) it tells you how much an enchant costs to make, so you can then easily double, triple or even quadruple the cost, depending on if you are the only one selling a certain scroll and how fast you want a scroll to sell. If you don't use the addon and don't know what kind of prices you should use, leave a comment and I will add average prices to each enchant.

    And a tip for non-enchanters:
There's usually a bunch of very cheap Enchant Cloak - Intellect scrolls in the auction house (Even 2g each) because it's the cheapest way to level enchanting past a certain point and people just want the scrolls sold fast, no matter if they get profit or not.

Here's where you come in! The enchant itself costs about 48g to make, yet people will pay even 200g for it! So if you have gold to spare, this is a good item to monopolize. But do not list 100 scrolls at once or you will lose customers. It's recommendeed to list 1-3 scrolls at once so the enchant looks a bit more rare.

Low Level Gold Making- Reader Question

I want to remind you all to make sure and get your comment in for my giveaway tommorow! Freebie Loot Cards! Can't beat it! Make sure you enter! After all, it doesn't cost you a dime, and you have great odds winning one!

I received a reader email a few days back:

i just started playing warcraft last month. i know, i am a little late getting started. but here is my question. i was told that enchanting was a good starter proffesion, i am also a herbalist and I am wondering where I can go to make some money with them. i have been questing in barrens is there somewhere that has alot of gold? i want to get gold to buy a mount. i like your blog but the things you talk about are way out of my range as i only have 13 gold to start with my brother gave me 10, but i need to pay him back. i dont have the money to buy your coaching otherwise i would buy your coaching just hoping you can help.

Thanks for asking this question, I will do my best to help. First off, I want to direct you to a few WoW gold forums, The Consortium, JMTC, and Massively Obsessed. They are free, you just need to set up an "account" to get a login name, and off you go! Don't hesitate to ask the folks at any of those locations, you will see that in the gold community, most folks are more than happy to help out!

Let's get started. Before I get to far, I want you to install a couple add-ons. If you are wondering how to do that, you can ask your brother or you can go to curse gaming and they have how-to's on the process. I reccommend you to get the following: Auctioneer and Auctionator for right now. You can get into more addons at a later date, but these are the ones you need to get started.

Now you are making me rack my brain a bit here, but I thought up a little plan for you. In the area that you are questing, there's a little town called Ratchet:

As an enchanter, this is a viable town to pick up some vendor gear to D/E or to equip. For a small investment (30-40s in most cases) as well. What I want you to do is go around to all the buildings (and outside them as well) and start buying up the "limited" gear that they sell. Here's a few screenies of what you are going to want to purchase there.

For less than 4g, you can grab all of these. Now what I want you to do is "mouseover" these items. You should see something this ---------->

This will help you see what the approximate value is to disenchant, and if it will be profitable for you to do so. If you look from top to bottom, I will explain what you are seeing. What the % "proc" that the item will make upon d/e'ing. See where it lists the Disenchant value? 3g38s38c? That is the most important part of your process. For an item that is 40s, you can literally gain 3g profit upon selling the "mats" on the auction house. For the 7 items I pictured above, you can estimate an almost 20g profit (due to procs, these will fluctuate).

What I would like you to do while you are running around questing, hit Ratchet, grab up these items, do a few quests (they have a "soft" reset of 30 min to 2 hours on these items), and run back to town to check the vendors again. Since Org is only a quick FP to toss them on the AH, add that to your routine here as well. Before you know it, you will be able to pay your brother back and you will be on your way to a nice chunk of change, and you will get your mount asap.

*By the way, I would like you to click on this paragraph to see the location for a "rare'ish" pet that spawns in the area, if you get that, you will have a quick 50-150g upon selling it...there is a 6 to 12 hour reset (last I knew) on this to appear, so check the nearby area for this as well!

Good luck to you in your new endeavors with making gold, I hope this helps!

For all you pro's out there, if you have any other advice, don't hesitate to leave a comment to help this cat out, think back to when you started and how tough it was. Take a minute or two and leave something you might have done back then, I am sure they would appreciate it! Thanks ahead of time!

How to play the Auction House

Auction house can be very profitable if you have professions. I will now let you know how I've been making almost 10k every day just by playing for a few hours, combining some methods I've written already. No boring grinding/flying needed! I play on a high population realm, so lower pop realms might have different prices.

Other professions have money makers also, but lets talk about that in a later post

Tip: It's wise to hold pauses sometimes with certain items so you won't flood the auction house with high priced items. Others will notice the high prices too and will join!

    The Route

    1. I usually start with Enchanting.

Everytime I visit the auction house, theres LOTS of Abyss Crystals for sale, usually for less than 5g each. What most enchanters forget is that they can shatter the crystals into something more valuable!

One Abyss Crystal shatters into up to 12 Infinite Dusts or 6 Cosmic Essences, which still sell for a lot more than 5g! The recipe is available from the enchant supplier npc in Dalaran.

    2. After that I use my alt's Mining for gold making.

Saronite and Cobalt Bars are in high demand by engineers and blacksmiths. Most miners simply don't bother smelting their ores but put em up for sale as they are instead, usually for as little as 15g a stack.
Saronites and Cobalt bars will both go for up to 90g a stack. A sweet spot I've noticed is around 75g a stack if I want to make them sell faster. If I see someone selling Saronite or Cobalt bars for less than 50g, I buy those aswell and relist them. They will be bought, usually within 24 hours!

After that I check Khorium ore and bar prices. Khorium bars will easily go for up to 150g each, so if someone is selling some for less than that, it's instant profit for me. Well, not so instant since not many need them. But they are low in supply so people are willing to pay for them. They still go within 48 hours everytime if you continue monopolizing them.

Note that if you're not the only one who has noticed this, its not wise to buy the 100g bars.

    3. Next up is Engineering

Since Khorium has silly prices for the moment because no one will simply not bother mining in outland, except when leveling their professions, also engineers will be able to cash in. Khorium Power Cores.
I've noticed a good price is around 500g, but if you have patience and all the Khoriums, they will go even for 1000g. It's wise to keep one or two of them in the AH at all times and you will probably be the only one doing so.

One Khorium Power Core needs 3x Khorium Bar and 1x Primal Fire, which often costs less than 50g to make.

    4. After engineering comes my Tailor's turn

Runecloth will often go for as little as 3g a stack, while Greater Eternal Essences will be worth almost 50g each and Illusion Dust stacks go for even more. It's wise to buy all cheap Runecloth and make Runecloth Headbands.

After that I send the Runecloth Headbands to my enchanter and disenchant them.

You can also make goods from Mageweave cloth, such as Black Mageweave Headband that will sometimes disenchant into Greater Nether Essences and Large Radiant Shards, which also are low in supply.

    5. Last, but not least is Jewelcrafting

This has been discussed in the guide before in greater detail and you should check the original post if you haven't yet. Simply put, buy different cheap ores from the auction house. Newest ores are the best bet, such as Obsidium and Elementium ore.

After that I prospect them and make amulets and rings from the gems. Here's a more precise list.
Blue gems -> Cut & Auction house
    Volatile Earth -> Auction house
    Zephyrite -> Cut & Vendor
    Nightstone -> Vendor
Jasper -> Jasper Ring & Disenchant
Hessonite -> Hessonite Band & Disenchant
Carnelian -> Carnelian Spikes & Disenchant
Alicite -> Alicite Pendant & Disenchant

After that I check the supply of enchanting scrolls and choose whether to make use of the acquired dust and essences or sell them as they are. I usually like to keep some of the jewelry in the AH also.
